«Cherry festival» in Glubokoe

During July 21st - August 1st one of the brightest and «tasty» events of summer - «Cherry festival» will take place in Glubokoe.
The idea of carrying out of Cherry festival in Glubokoe is based on the fact, that all existing grades of cherry in Belarus are removed on the basis of so-called «sour cherry», growing in Glubokoe which was grown up earlier by prosperous landowners. In the 20-30th years of the XX century the landowner selector from Glubokoe removed own winter-hardy grades of cherries - sweet cherry hybrid possessing sweet juicy taste and large fruits. Besides, the history of Gluboksky cherry is connected with a name of baron Myunhauzen, hunting in local places.
The program of the festival promises to be saturated and fascinating - cherry procession, a choice of «The cherry queen», a comic cherry marathon, competition on the best landscape composition, hairdress competitions, culinary and photo contest, the international fair with participation of catering establishments, the food industry, guests from Lithuania, Latvia and Russia.
