XVIII International Festival of Organ Music «Ringing Safіі».
From November 3 to December 8 in the concert hall of the St. Sophia Cathedral will open the XVIII International Festival of Organ Music "Safіі Bells", the only one in Belarus Organ Festival, which for many years together under the arches of the cathedral of world famous musicians from around the world.The festival will introduce students to the classical heritage of the organ music of centuries past, with the best works of contemporary composers for organ Belarus and abroad.
The main feature of this festival of organ music «Ringing Safіі» will be its different genres. Along with the organ will sound recorder, saxophone, Chalumeau (woodwind instrument of the Middle Ages and the Baroque, the historical clarinet (1800), a chamber orchestra.
At the festival will be organists such as Christoph Hauser (Germany), Hans Christian Hein (Denmark), and for the first time perform outstanding European artists Marek Stefanska (Poland), Valeria Balakhovskaya (Ukraine), Elizabeth Zavadka (Switzerland), Florian Hockey (Germany) Regina Kamenshikova (Russia).
The festival will feature an anniversary concert of the famous polochanki leading organist Republic Ksenia Pogorelov, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of creative activity.
