Yearly festival «Apple Spas»

August 20 in the village Alashki in Sharkovshchina district held an yearly festival «Apple Spas».

The festival, which has become a hallmark of the area, held every year in honor of the birthday of the famous belarusian selectionist amateur Ivan Pavlovich Sikora. During the life Ivan Pavlovich has devoted a lot of time to creating apple sort with improved winter hardiness. The variety was named in his honor - «Sikora Memory».
