Beer factory «Alivaria»

Alivaria Brewing Company is the oldest operating brewery in Belarus, located in Minsk. Founded in 1864, the company produces a wide range of beers, including well-known brands such as «Alivaria Zolotoye», «Alivaria Porter», and «Alivaria Light». The brewery is part of the international Carlsberg Group and continues the traditions of Belarusian brewing, combining them with modern technologies.

History

The history of Alivaria dates back to 1864, when Minsk townsman Rokhlya Frumkina built a wooden brewery. In 1894, Count Karol Hutten-Czapski modernized the enterprise by constructing a steam-powered brewery named «Bohemia». In 1896, the brewery was acquired by Franz Lekert, who expanded production and introduced new technologies. After nationalization in 1917, the enterprise was renamed «Pivzavod Belarus». In 1994, the brewery became OJSC «Pivzavod Olivaria», and in 2008, Carlsberg Group became the strategic investor.

The tour ends with relaxation in a guest hall decorated in the company’s signature style, where guests enjoy a tasting of four main beer varieties. As a treat, grains used in brewing and hops are served.
