Regional festival of folk art and crafts «Dribinsky Torzhok»

On 4th of August 2012 in Dribin the regional festival of folk art and crafts «Dribinsky Torzhok» will held.

Dribin region anciently known by shapovalski craft. Beautiful boots, hats, gloves, jewelry are done by masters of Dribin district! This an ancient skill, «shapovalsky» language included in the list of intangible heritage of national significance. They are a viable candidate for inclusion in the List of World Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO. There are other crafts.

The tradition of conduct «Torzhok» is historical. In the XIX century on the ground Dribin the day of St. Elias the fair were similar, which were well-known in the county and far beyond.
