The First national forum «Museums of Belarus»

The First national forum «Museums of Belarus» will pass in Grodno on October 12-14th, 2012 within the State program «Culture of Belarus» for 2011-2015. The forum is directed on support of museum in the country, stimulation of creative initiatives, encouragement of the museum workers who have made a contribution to study, saving and promoting of cultural values, and also on public drawing attention to multifaced museum activities. Within a forum will pass presentations of exposures, scientific and practical seminars, «round tables», competition «Museums of Belarus – to the third millennium». Visitors of the forum can see exhibitions of Belarussian artists of XIX-XX century from collection of the National art museum of Republic of Belarus, the exhibition of the Museum of religion history, the Museum of fire service history and the Drugstore museum.
More than hundred Belarusian museums will take part in the competition, and will be evaluated in the following nominations:

The Grand Prix (it is adjudged for the best exposure at a forum, the best materials in one or several nominations);

«The best art design of exposure»;

«The best organization of the international exhibition»;

«The best publication about museum subjects»;

«The best museum on the organization of cultural and educational activities»;

«The best operation of the restorer»;

«The best museum issuing»;

«The best museum on the organization of tourist service» and many other.

The results of the competition will be declared at ceremony of closing of the forum. To impart experience and adopt the best from the Belarusian colleagues guests from Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Germany, Austria will arrive on a forum. The first national forum will integrate on one platform museums from different corners of Belarus, thereby having provided a unique opportunity to visitors of a forum to get acquainted with numerous participating museums at the same time.
