Festival of Choreographic Art «Sozhski Karagod».

13-15 September, 2013 Festival of Choreographic Art «Sozhski Karagod» will be held in Gomel city.
In September, Gomel is becoming the center of dance in Belarus. Since 1997, one of the biggest festivals in the country is held here, which brings together more than a thousand guests. Traditionally, the festival hosts the International Tournament in ballroom dancing «Golden Lynx».
Last year, the event was attended by a record number of visitors and participants. The main star was National Ballet of Georgia «Suhishvili» that gave more than a thousand concerts in one hundred countries around the world.
In September 2013, the festival will bring together thousands of artists and visitors from Belarus, near and far abroad countries and far abroad. Among them - the amateur dance groups folk stage, pop dance, modern dance, ballroom dance performers and others.
The festival occasion in order to preserve, develop and promote dance as a kind of art, the study of modern processes in the world of choreography, expansion and strengthening of inter-ethnic artistic ties, cooperation between national cultures, the development of the festival movement in the field of choreography.
