Environmental Festival «Cranes and cranberry Miory Region»

September 28-29, 2013 in reserve «Elnya» Vitebsk region, Miory district the environmental festival «Cranes and cranberry Miory Region» will be held.
Miory region is famous for its swamps, and most importantly - what locals have thanks to this swamps. Therefore, time and venue of the festival are chosen because of in September starts picking cranberries. Local swamp Elnya ranked first place in Belarus reserves the berries. In addition, during the fall migration of the marsh flies more than 4,000 cranes, so everyone can watch the flocks of these beautiful birds and take unique photographs.
This year the festival guests would see concert performers of Miory district, exhibition and sale of handicrafts, attractions, environmental games and much more. Since the holiday is about and cranberries, the huge variety of dishes from this berry will be offered to guests of the festival tasting cakes with cranberries and cranberry juice, fresh berries.
The festival is held to draw attention to the uniqueness of the swamp Elnya, as well as for the development of ecotourism in the area.
