The exhibition «The First World War in the history of one family»

From September 1 to October 1 in the North-east tower of Mir Castle will be exhibition «The First World War in the history of one family». Exhibition dedicated to the centenary since the beginning of World War I, tells the story of one family who witnessed the events of 1914-1918. Brothers Alexander and Lawrence Galaburda, conscripts in the army during the war, became the hero of the event.

The visitors will be presented with 15 cards wartime addressed to Alexander Galaburda and his sister Melanie. The exhibition is uniform items of soldiers of Russian and German armies. In addition visitors can see a copy of a photograph of the destroyed palace of princes Svyatopolk-Mirsky and samples of tiles Kharkov factory E.Bergengeyma that was used in the construction of the manor house in the late XIX - early XX centuries.
