International festival «Slavic Theatre Meetings»

XII International festival «Slavic Theatre Meetings» be held in Gomel from November 28 to December 4, 2014. Traditional festival timed to the 75th anniversary of the Gomel Regional Drama Theatre.

The aim of the event is a creative union of theater companies, strengthening the traditions and promotion of new trends of the Belarusian theater, acquaintance with the masterpieces of world and national artistic heritage. International festival «Slavic theater meetings» oriented to recovery of the general theatrical space, it promotes strengthening and develop creative links between theater groups near and far abroad, create new contacts, enrichment of theatrical art. The program of creative forum posing various theatrical genres from classical to modern refined performances, master classes of famous theatrical figures, the traditional round tables.

The first festival «Slavic theater meetings» was held in 1989. Currently, the festival involved as theaters near and far abroad. On the stage of the Gomel Regional Drama Theatre viewers will see teams from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Kazakhstan.
