International Festival of Theatre-batleek

International Festival of Theatre-batleek held in a restored manor of Oginski M.K. in Zalessie Smorgon district in March 2015, the 250th anniversary of the famous public and cultural figures, composer Michael Cleophas Oginski. The event is timed to the International Day of puppet theaters, it will feature theater groups from Belarus, Poland, Lithuania.

The festival aims to draw attention to the preservation and development of the unique traditions of the Belarusian batleechnyh theaters, creating conditions for their work and creative self-realization of all generations.

The festival program includes workshops, training of creative groups of batleechnikov, creating new performance Zalessk «Batleyka» on local materials and the acquisition of sound equipment, decorations, dolls, production of souvenirs.

In the early 90s folk theater «Batleyka» of Zalessky Culture House conquered Belarusian and foreign spectators, performed in Russia and Poland, Lithuania, Estonia. Today performances «Batleyka» are included in the tourist route, which passes through Zalessie.
