Festival «Golshanskiy Castle-2015»

Town Golshany of Grodno region invites you to the annual Festival «Golshanskiy Castle», which takes place in August 29 be held at the walls of Sapega castle, which is a monument of palace-park architecture of the late XVI - early XVII centuries and famous thanks to the numerous works of art, as well as it is covered with legends and myths. The sixth festival will bring together lovers of authentic music, jousting, crafts and atmosphere of medieval culture.

Opening of the festival will begin with a solemn event dedicated to the 735th anniversary of Golshany. Besides will take place procession to the ruins of the Sapeg castle. A remarkable gift will be an unusual spectacle of street theater «Vir» based on the eponymous painting of the famous Dutch artist J. Bosch.

Also in the program:


• a master class on medieval and Scottish dances by dance group «Soleil»;
• musical fragments of the famous performances of «Belarusian State Academic Musical Theater»;
• tournaments;
• theatrical equestrian show «Knight's Tale»;
• musical performance of known medieval Belarusian music;
• fire show;
• master classes in pottery, blacksmithing craft, fencing.
