«Спасаўка-ласаўка» – this is how the people call the «Assumption Fast», which lasts from 14 to 29 August and unites three Christian holidays dedicated to Jesus Christ and the Most Holy Theotokos. In folk culture, each of these days had its own name: August 14 - Poppy or Honey Savior, August 19 - Apple Savior, August 29 - Bread or Nut Savior, or «Savior on the canvas».
