On January, 22nd 2012 Belarus has solved will join and to spend the Day of snow. The snow holiday will pass in all regions of the country at snow stadiums and the mountain-skiing centers. Within the limits of a holiday numerous competitions on various disciplines both among professional sportsmen and among fans, veterans and children will be held.

The basic actions will pass in territory of following sports centers:

Republican mountain-skiing center "Silichi" the Minsk region;

The mountain-skiing center «Solnechnaja dolina» Minsk.

In the program except a sports part various cheerful competitions and show will be organized, performers will act and evening drivings with discos and prizes for fans of productive leisure will pass. Besides this day numerous sports actions in the regional and regional centers the countries dated by the World day of snow will pass.

Open exhibition «LE CORBUSIER: Minsk Echo»

A unique open-air exhibition, «Le Corbusier: Minsk Echo» has opened in the very heart of historic Minsk. It is timed to coincide with the XVI National Architecture Festival and dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Belarusian Union of Architects. The project is being implemented with the support of the Embassy of France and the Embassy of Switzerland in the Republic of Belarus, as well as with the participation of the Minsk History Museum.

The exhibition introduces viewers to the work of one of the most influential architects of the 20th century, Charles-Edouard Jeanneret-Gris, better known to the world as Le Corbusier. His ideas radically changed the appearance of cities around the world, from France and Switzerland to India and the USSR. Le Corbusier's innovative concept of five architectural principles formed the foundation of modernist architecture and influenced the appearance of post-war Minsk: from the microdistricts of the 1960s–1980s to the water-green diameter of the capital.

The exhibition presents the master's completed projects in Switzerland and France — the countries with which the origins and flourishing of his work are associated. This traveling exhibition helps to look at the Minsk urban environment in a new way — through the prism of ideas that shaped the architectural thinking of the 20th century.

«Le Corbusier: Minsk Echo» is not just an exhibition, but an invitation to comprehend the city in which we live and the architectural reality that shapes us every day.
