On April 7-8th, 2012 in Minsk will pass Open Championship of Belarus on east dance (Belly DanceOriental Dance).

East dance - the most beautiful and ancient kind of dance. Children of 6-8 years and adult women are engaged in it at any age, both. And irrespective of age of the dancer it always looks beautifully and attractively. And dearness and elegance of suits so fascinating, that it is impossible to tear off a sight. Action for this kind of dance becomes every year more and more scale and entertainment. The greatest quantity of dancers gathers for such action from the various countries of Europe. Competition will pass in a nomination of the classic, which is to the kinds of east dance most entertainment and interesting to the spectator , and also folk, improvisation, «Bollywood», solo tubl.

The championship purpose is preservation and development of cultural wealth, popularization and creation of conditions for development of east dances both improving, and an independent direction in art; revealing and support of creative processes in art sphere.

Task of championship:

the show program of high level with participation of professional dancers from Belarus and the countries of near and far abroad;
within the limits of the championship to organize training programs for increase of professional level of teachers-choreographers of the Arabian dance, fitness instructors of a bellidans-direction;
to promote communications to an exchange of experience and joint development of the international organizations which are engaged in studying of east dances.

Open exhibition «LE CORBUSIER: Minsk Echo»

A unique open-air exhibition, «Le Corbusier: Minsk Echo» has opened in the very heart of historic Minsk. It is timed to coincide with the XVI National Architecture Festival and dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Belarusian Union of Architects. The project is being implemented with the support of the Embassy of France and the Embassy of Switzerland in the Republic of Belarus, as well as with the participation of the Minsk History Museum.

The exhibition introduces viewers to the work of one of the most influential architects of the 20th century, Charles-Edouard Jeanneret-Gris, better known to the world as Le Corbusier. His ideas radically changed the appearance of cities around the world, from France and Switzerland to India and the USSR. Le Corbusier's innovative concept of five architectural principles formed the foundation of modernist architecture and influenced the appearance of post-war Minsk: from the microdistricts of the 1960s–1980s to the water-green diameter of the capital.

The exhibition presents the master's completed projects in Switzerland and France — the countries with which the origins and flourishing of his work are associated. This traveling exhibition helps to look at the Minsk urban environment in a new way — through the prism of ideas that shaped the architectural thinking of the 20th century.

«Le Corbusier: Minsk Echo» is not just an exhibition, but an invitation to comprehend the city in which we live and the architectural reality that shapes us every day.
