The idea to popularize museum work occured to employees of Louvre in 1999. From this time the "Spring of museums" that has the aim to attract people to ehxibition halls annually gathers near 2 thouthands of european museums. In 2003 some belarusian museums were included in this museum community. The action the "Spring of museums" lasts one day. It takes place the 14th of May - the day defore the Universal Day of museums. The organizers offer different actions of historical, artistic, litetary, iconographic, symbolic, scientific and technical character: lectures, excursions, non-traditional exhibitions, performances and so on. All museums-participants of this action work at this day absolutely free of charge. And absolutely everyone has the possibility to touch the art.
