At the time of Christmas and New year the Palace of Republic carries out a cycle of nurseries New Year dramatized representations for children of Minsk and all regions of the country. The Main New Year tree of the country - the most fascinating and colourful show for children which promises to leave a set of bright impressions.
The Palace of Republic invites all boys and little girls from December 24th till January 3d on festive representations. For them - an unforgettable adventure in the world of magic fairy tales with tremendous scenery, bright, amazing suits and fine New Year's songs. Children are expected by fantastic and colourful show in execution of the best creative collectives of the country.
In the New Year's musical fairy tale «Once in the snow kingdom» the best great and small actors will play. Here the audience will see a great number of heroes, adventures, surprises and gifts. The show will be given in the Big Hall of the Palace of Republic, and in Small hall for smaller audience original representation will take place. Except performance, a small disco will be organized.

Open exhibition «LE CORBUSIER: Minsk Echo»

A unique open-air exhibition, «Le Corbusier: Minsk Echo» has opened in the very heart of historic Minsk. It is timed to coincide with the XVI National Architecture Festival and dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Belarusian Union of Architects. The project is being implemented with the support of the Embassy of France and the Embassy of Switzerland in the Republic of Belarus, as well as with the participation of the Minsk History Museum.

The exhibition introduces viewers to the work of one of the most influential architects of the 20th century, Charles-Edouard Jeanneret-Gris, better known to the world as Le Corbusier. His ideas radically changed the appearance of cities around the world, from France and Switzerland to India and the USSR. Le Corbusier's innovative concept of five architectural principles formed the foundation of modernist architecture and influenced the appearance of post-war Minsk: from the microdistricts of the 1960s–1980s to the water-green diameter of the capital.

The exhibition presents the master's completed projects in Switzerland and France — the countries with which the origins and flourishing of his work are associated. This traveling exhibition helps to look at the Minsk urban environment in a new way — through the prism of ideas that shaped the architectural thinking of the 20th century.

«Le Corbusier: Minsk Echo» is not just an exhibition, but an invitation to comprehend the city in which we live and the architectural reality that shapes us every day.
