From 1 to 8 November the anniversary XX Minsk international film festival «Listopad» will be held in Minsk.
Film festival «Listopad» - is the largest film festival in Belarus, which are going well-known directors, actors and lovers of cinema each year.
As the press service of the film festival tells, the slogan of the anniversary film forum - In kino veritas («Truth in the movie»): «It plays the well-known Latin expression and promises not only a great, festive mood, but also a lot of thoughtful, sincere movie».
Festival program is rich and unique. In the main competition «Listopad» invited films, participants and winners of the most prestigious film festivals of the world, so you could only see a better movie. There would be present films in three sections: feature films, documentaries (the main competition and competition of national film school), the competition films for children and young audiences «Listapadzik». The competition for young film debut is a collection of works by the authors, which has recognition from professionals and audiences.
In 2012, the «Listopad» programs were attended by films from 35 countries and abroad - from Canada to Australia. The festival jury includes well-known filmmakers from the countries of the CIS and Europe. Over the years, the main competition jury led by director Andrei Zvyagintsev, Aktan Aryn Kubat, Sarunas Bartas, Paul Chukhray, Meskhiev Dmitry, Svetlana Druzhinin and others.
Also, the festival presents a broad program of non-competition and retrospective screenings, meetings, workshops, exhibitions and art exhibitions. Thanks to the «Listopad» the Belarusian public has a unique opportunity to experience the subtle and high-brow movies, to chat with famous guests of the festival, and participate in its colorful life .
Festival screenings will take place on five stages in Minsk: cinemas «Central», «Pobeda», «House of Cinema», «Pioneer», «Mir».
