Smilovichi walk-mill

At the moment, the only factory of production of felted footwear in the Republic of Belarus is the Smilovich walk-mill. Starting from the 20s of the XX century - from the moment of its foundation, JSC Smilovichi Felting Factory is keen on the manufacture of felted shoes. A wide range of goods offered by the company includes 10 types of blankets and pillows in addition to 30 items of felted shoes. The material of sold goods consists of 100% merino sheep wool. OJSC Smilovichi Felting Factory produces high quality goods, confirmed by international quality certificate and hygienic certificates.

The enterprise OJSC "Smilovichsky walk-mill" was organized on March 1, 1928. At that time the factory was called the "Red Star" artel, and the staff of the staff was only 6 people. In 1960, the artel was renamed to Smilovichi walk-mill, and the amount of employees increased to 120 people. Today, the company has been selling merino-sheep wool products for 80 years, 130 people are involved in the work of the factory. The factory represents a felted-felt production, There is a sewing workshopon on its territory.

Today the factory produce the following kinds of pruducts:

• felt men's shoes with rubber soles
• felted men's and women's shoes "Arktika"
• felted women's shoes "Comfort", "Souvenir"
• felted children's shoes "Bear cub" (with decoration, applique and galoshes)
• felt men's shoes with rubber soles
• saddle felt, technical and plantar
• wore blankets.

In 2004 OJSC "Smilovichskaya walk-mill" becomes the only manufacturer of valentin shoes in Republic of Belarus. This is due to the termination of the walk-mill in Novogrudok Grodno region in 2004.

In order to improve quality of product and hygienic properties, factory mastered production of new products Valentine shoes - "Arctic" in 1998. Attachment of natural wool of higher quality is performed in production of footwear, implementing this type of product. Felt footwear received the certificate of conformity.
